Jimmy Brings is Australia's first on-demand alcohol delivery company. Bringing joy to over 50,000 customers, their operations span across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Delighting customers is at the forefront of Jimmy Brings business model. They offer on-demand delivery options so that customers can expect their order to arrive on their doorstep within the hour.
However, on-demand brings a myriad of challenges for every logistics business. Delivery routes must adapt to incoming orders and relay that information to drivers while out in the field.
Before Afi Labs, Jimmy Brings relied on traditional route planning methods that weren't equipped to handle multiple on-demand deliveries without disrupting routes and increasing their drivers' lateness.
Based on Jimmy Brings unique use case, Afi Labs developed a powerful algorithm to handle their orders. It’s equipped to run an exhaustive search of possible routes in order to minimize overall lateness and prioritize customers' time windows. Drivers are no longer crossing over delivery routes but instead separated into their own regions - minimizing distance traveled.
Our algorithm is put to the test every day. In less than 30 seconds, we compute new optimized routes based on their incoming order requests via our API.
