Envoi, a B2B fulfillment service based in Toronto, offers swift, same-day delivery services for local businesses. Its network of part-time drivers covers 7,100 square kilometers in Greater Toronto, delivering most packages after customers get home from work. In 2018, the company grew from delivering 140 packages in April to more than 10,000 in December alone.
ABOUT ENVOI
BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Rapid startup growth brings its own challenges. Envoi's web platform struggled as the team's delivery orders piled up, and its backend glued several separate services together to do the job. The company needed a more efficient, integrated workflow to match its growth and keep customers happy with end-to-end, real-time tracking.
SOLUTION
Anticipating future growth, Envoi asked for a custom platform to integrate order management, live driver tracking, route optimization, and customer notifications.
We built them a platform that sends customers live updates at each delivery stage, along with photo proof of delivery, time stamps, and customer signatures. Business clients upload their orders via a self-service portal and prepare them for pickup, and the dispatch module automatically generates routes that make tight deadlines and narrow delivery windows easy.
Envoi’s custom platform even comes with predictive ETAs on an app, so drivers and customers know exactly when a package will be delivered.
Our solution also features an app that provides predictive ETAs so drivers (and Envoi's customers) know exactly when their package will be delivered.
OUTCOMES
Expectations around delivery time and accountability continue to climb today. The most agile delivery companies increasingly value thoughtful systems that scale operations and cut inefficiencies with automation. Our delivery management platform improves Envoi’s end-to-end visibility, cut costs, and helps its customers make memorable delivery experiences.
